Superhero walkers wanted!

A LAST call has gone out to would-be superheroes keen to use their powers to help a good cause.

Mrs Incredible Simone Johnson is urging people of all ages to search for the superhero inside themselves and join her and other dynamic walkers, for a sponsored event that will raise money for the children's ward at the University of Wales.

The walkers, who will take a leisurely stroll from King Square in Barry to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, are hoping to raise a large sum of money that will be used to provide necessities for the parents' accommodation used by families whose children are patients at the hospital.

Mum-of-three Simone, 37, of Tennyson Road, said: "We have had a really positive response, but we still need as many people as possible.

"I have heard from parents who regularly go to the hospital and stay there, and they think it's a good idea."

The walk will begin at noon on Saturday, May 31 but participants are asked to arrive 20 minutes early to sort out sponsorship paperwork.

Superhero fancy dress is optional, but encouraged, for all ages.

For details on the walk or how to obtain a form, call 07757 977055.
